Having been a member of eHarmony for a while now.  After receiving thousands of decent quality matches, I can give you the lowdown.  First off, eHarmony is a dating site that pushes the matches to you daily.  If you are lucky, you will get up to 7 new dating profiles per day to review.  That is about 210 per month. I was getting them every day, around 7am. The matches are based on your first, one time only, long personality survey which takes an hour to fill out.  Don’t rush, as you cant change or even review it later. It’s a patent pending secret. <!–more–>  While you cant search, you can specify some things you would **like** about your match. These  several additional items are changeable, and you get to tell how important they are to you. They cover geographical area, distance, smoking, drinking, nationality, which can include skin color, plus religious preference.  You do not get to pick an exact age range, or weight, height, build, or hair or eye color.   If you want to date older or younger, by more than 7 years or so,  eHarmony warns you there wont be many matches.  eHarmony also does a good job at  matching eating and musical preferences, plus sports team and tv favorites.
